Meet Austin! This gorgeous fellow is a hound mix that came to us from an overcrowded city shelter. He was surrendered due to no fault of his own. He's a big boy, weighing in at 80lbs and working on slimming down. In his previous life, Austin lived with several teenagers and enjoyed hanging out wherever the family was in the house. Ideally, he would like a home with children over 16 and a family with patience and enthusiasm for training. Austin is a smart cookie and has learned Sit, Place, Down and how to walk nicely on a leash while he's been with us. He also has experience being crated. Austin is a medium energy dog who enjoys his walks and is happy to chase a tennis ball but is also content to lounge around the house. He's social with other larger dogs and has tested well with cats at the shelter. Austin is looking for a lower traffic home that will understand his boundaries and give him the structure he needs for success.
